Celebrating Ada!

My Story

Ada is turning 4 in July (!!) and as we celebrate Ada’s birthday, we also want to celebrate the huge breakthrough in CMN research; a treatment developed to reverse CMN!

For those who don’t know… Ada has CMN (Congenital Melanocytic Naevus) covering 70% of her body – this means Ada has big dark brown hairy birthmarks all over her body.  Ada is a happy and thriving young girl, however living with CMN comes with challenges - Ada is now at an age where she is realising that her skin is different.

This week we had the amazing opportunity to share Ada’s story on BBC Breakfast as the news broke about the incredible breakthrough in the CMN research; a treatment to reverse CMN!  To get the treatment into clinical trials, Caring Matters Now is working with the CMN researchers to raise funds and global awareness.

Caring Matters Now is the only charity in the UK supporting families affected by CMN.  The charity has given us so much support and guidance and continue to do so on our journey - we want to give something back so have decided to set up this fundraising page.

It was such an honour to share Ada’s story and help raise the profile of CMN and the research breakthrough on BBC Breakfast.  You can see the reel of our visit to the BBC studios on this page or by visiting  Caring Matters Now Instagram
